Frequently Asked Questions
We take pride in providing fresh, high-quality eggs and homemade products straight from our family homestead. Every item is gathered, prepared, and packaged with care to ensure you receive the very best from our ranch. Once your order leaves our property, its freshness and safety depend on how it’s handled, stored, and transported. Because we can’t control those conditions, we’re unable to take responsibility for any damage, spoilage, or quality changes that occur after pickup or delivery.
We kindly ask that you refrigerate and store your items promptly upon receiving them to keep them as fresh and delicious as when they left our hands. Thank you for supporting our family farm and helping us keep our products safe and wholesome for everyone to enjoy!
We’re happy to share a little more about what makes our ranch products special — and how to enjoy them at their best. If you don’t see your question here, just send us a message!

Our eggs are gathered daily and kept cool until pickup or delivery. When stored properly in the refrigerator, they’ll stay fresh for up to 3 months. If you prefer to keep them unwashed (with the natural protective bloom intact), they can safely stay at room temperature for about 2 weeks before refrigeration.
-
We typically keep eggs unwashed unless a customer requests otherwise. This helps preserve their natural protective coating (the “bloom”) that keeps them fresh longer. If you prefer washed eggs, just let us know!
-
Every hen lays eggs in her own shade, size, and personality! Our flock’s diet, outdoor time, and breed variety mean that yolks may be richer in color and shells may vary — all signs of freshness and quality.
-
Store eggs in their carton, pointy-end down, and refrigerate after washing or if you won’t use them within two weeks.
-
Our breads and cookies are made fresh in our home kitchen under California’s Cottage Food Law. For best flavor, enjoy within 2–3 days or freeze immediately to extend freshness.
-
Yes! Every baked good we make features fresh ranch eggs from our hens. It’s one of the ways we keep things truly local and full-circle.
-
Our baked goods and other kitchen products are made in our home kitchen under California’s Cottage Food Law, which means they may come into contact with common allergens such as eggs, wheat, milk, nuts, and soy.
While we always bake with care and clean thoroughly between batches, we can’t guarantee that any item will be completely allergen-free. If you have specific dietary concerns, please reach out before ordering — we’re happy to share ingredient details for each batch.
-
Keep them in a cool, dark place in an airtight jar. They’ll stay fragrant and flavorful for 6–12 months.description

Because we are a small homestead dedicated to providing the freshest products possible, our inventory can occasionally run low. If an item you order is unavailable, we will contact you immediately to discuss options for fulfilling your order as soon as possible or to offer a full refund. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.
